Welcome to Standout Recruitment Services Ltd and the StandOut recruitment platform ("StandOut", "Platform", "we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using StandOut, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
StandOut is a Mauritius-based recruitment and career platform designed to connect job seekers with employers and career opportunities.
1. Definitions
- Platform refers to the StandOut website, services, tools, software, and related systems.
- Job Seeker refers to any individual using the Platform to search for employment or career opportunities.
- Employer refers to any business, recruiter, agency, or organization using the Platform to post vacancies or search for candidates.
- User refers to any person accessing or using the Platform.
2. Eligibility
By using the Platform, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or legally capable of entering into binding agreements under the laws of Mauritius.
- The information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
- You will not use the Platform for unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, or discriminatory purposes.
3. Services Provided
StandOut provides an online recruitment platform that allows:
- Job seekers to create professional profiles and apply for opportunities free of charge.
- Employers to advertise vacancies, manage recruitment activities, and access candidate profiles through subscription-based services or promotional offers.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time without prior notice.
4. Job Seeker Accounts
4.1 Free Access
The Platform is currently free for job seekers.
We reserve the right to introduce premium features or paid services in the future with prior notice.
4.2 User Responsibilities
Job seekers agree that:
- All CVs, qualifications, employment history, certifications, and personal information submitted are truthful and accurate.
- They will not impersonate another person.
- They are solely responsible for the information they publish on the Platform.
5. Employer Accounts and Subscriptions
5.1 Subscription Services
Employers may access certain recruitment services through paid subscriptions, packages, or promotional trials.
5.2 Free Trial
StandOut may provide free trial access to employers. We reserve the right to:
- Modify or withdraw free trial access at any time
- Restrict access to features during trial periods
- End promotional offers without notice
5.3 Employer Responsibilities
Employers agree that:
- Job advertisements and recruitment activities must comply with applicable laws and regulations in Mauritius
- Information provided about vacancies, salaries, benefits, and opportunities must be accurate and lawful
- They will not post misleading, discriminatory, offensive, or fraudulent content
6. No Guarantee of Employment or Hiring
StandOut acts solely as an intermediary platform between employers and job seekers.
We do not guarantee:
- Employment opportunities
- Candidate suitability
- Successful hiring outcomes
- Interview invitations
- Accuracy of employer or candidate information
Users acknowledge that all recruitment decisions are made independently by employers and candidates.
7. Disclaimer of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Mauritian law:
- StandOut is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, legality, or completeness of content posted by employers or users.
- We are not liable for any employment decisions, disputes, losses, damages, misconduct, fraud, or misrepresentation arising from interactions between users.
- We do not conduct mandatory background checks, criminal screenings, or verification of all information provided on the Platform.
- Users interact and share information at their own risk.
StandOut shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of business, profits, reputation, or opportunities.
8. Acceptable Use
Users must not:
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
- Upload false, defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or security threats
- Harvest or misuse personal data from other users
- Use the Platform to spam or solicit unauthorized services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, branding, graphics, logos, software, and materials are the property of Standout Recruitment Services Ltd unless otherwise stated.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, copy, or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
StandOut processes personal data in accordance with:
- The Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017
- Applicable data protection and electronic transaction regulations
11. Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Remove content
- Restrict access to services
where we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, applicable laws, or acted in a harmful or abusive manner.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services.
StandOut is not responsible for:
- Third-party content
- External services
- Security practices
- Availability or accuracy of external websites
13. Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated versions will become effective once published on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
